I voted but I need to add that it is always unleaded and decaffeinated. Don't know if that even counts.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

Kay, so if you drink soda daily, but it's sugar-free decaf, what about the artificial sweetener? Are they better for you than sugar? They may have less calories, but what about the "artificial" part? What's in that?
I drink coffee every day. Usually at home, and I drink organic sumatra made in a press. Fully caffinated, and quite strong. Soda, though, less than once a month.
partly because of the other thread, partly because I was thinking of my sil, who doesn't like coffee, but substitues it with diet soda.
When I do its diet pepsi or diet dr pepper and I get it in the medium size bottles and sitp at it off and on through the day. One bottle lasts me a day.

Remember saccharin? I think I spelled that right - at least close - but it was supposed to be the greatest thing since sliced bread. Until it caused cancer, anyway, and along the point of the book (see soup thread). I grew up not drinking it, and never really got a taste for it, but my wife grew up drinking it and has the occasional diet whatever still - but she's mostly off of it. At least that's what I'm told...
The book is along the lines of stuff I've always kind of thought, just affirms it. Of course, it's just one person's book but his case is good. I don't think it's going to hurt to try to take his advice, but I'm not perfect - moderation isn't a bad thing either.
I drink what ever has the most sugar and crap in it... Usually Mt. Dew.

I voted never. I gave up soda as a new years resolution back in the 90's. I'm guessing it was around 13 years ago or so.
My grandma makes punch for the holiday's and she makes it with ginger ale or a sprite type soda, so I guess that could be considered "rarely", but I don't consider it soda. It's Grammy's punch!

When I do drink soda, I stick to the "high end" stuff without processed or manufactured sweeteners. Ginger ale sweetened with cane sugar and pineapple juice or honey, root beer and cola sweetened with cane sugar or cane juice...etc.
I've never been a big soft drink drinker. Soda or otherwise. Doesn't take a genius to quickly figure out it's one of the worst things you can put in your body.
That being said, sure, it's an occasional treat.
Me mother drinks caffine-free Diet Pepsi, so that's what I'll grab a glass of from time to time... :ihih:
BTW, I am one who firmly believes that artificial sweeteners are just as bad for you as sugar. Now, if you're substituting small amounts of one for the other, ok, but if you drink mass quantities of diet drinks thinking they're a healthy alternative, IMO you're just fooling yourself...

Gotta have my Mt. Dew on them long drives. It certainly helps keep me awake. I probably have a can every other day.

I drink a 2 litre or 2 a week at work. At home water through a brita filter and in big container in the fridge. On the weekends if I am at a race track it's mostly water and poweraide.

Coke and nothing but the Coke! It's ALL I drink except at the race track and then it's bottled water.
I once had a doctor tell me the blood test came back as pure coca cola.... so if I ever need blood just hook up a 2 litre of coke

I voted it should be IVed....I drink a lot of soda. One 20 oz. bottle in the morning, another with lunch, two refills of a large cup at my second lunch, ditto with dinner, maybe another 20 oz. bottle if I'm on the go, otherwise a can or two (usually root beer since there's no caffeine) later at night. Occasionally I'll mix it up and cut out one or both of the bottles in favor of juice or something.
