    Christmas presents

    For me:
    1. Sage green Billingham Hadley shoulderbag (my third - went for the Pro version this time). Ordered via Internet, already delivered to my sister's place in England. It cost me half what it would have done in France
    2. Jock Sturges latest book "Life - Time", just been released, saw it yesterday and couldn't resist it despite the hefty price. His latest colour stuff comes over even better than black and white (large format film). The weird calm atmosphere is still intact. He somehow comes over as being very American but most of the pictures were taken in a nudist colony in France
    3. Lise Sarfati's softback fashion book "Austin Texas". Discovered her stuff only this month and it's nice
    4. Mistic's book of Paris graffiti but that wouldn't mean anything to you
    5. Any Star Wars DVD.

    For my sister and family:

My D70 + 18-70 + 70-210. I hate giving away one of my best lenses but at least it's not far

Re: Complete winter shopping for Xmas?

According to the Twenga online shopping site, the most searched products for Christmas (in France) are the following, starting with the most searched:

    1. Flat-screen television
    2. Digital still camera (surprise)
    3. Portable computer
    4. Handbags

The products that have most increased in demand since mid-November are:

    1. Nespresso coffee machine
    2. Digital photo frames

    For children the list is:

    1. Disguises
    2. Nintendo DS console
    3. Digital still camera
    4. Miniature kitchens

I never realised that photography was so popular
