I have been looking for a simple way to improve the reception on my shortwave receiver for a long time and recently came across a detailed review. It turned out that such a spiral slinky dog antenna works great as a compact replacement for bulky street wires. It is easily stretched in a room or on a balcony and allows you to catch even weak amateur frequencies without unnecessary interference. For me, this was an ideal solution, because you do not need to drill walls or pull cables through the whole house. Now the radio works much cleaner, and the setup process itself takes literally a couple of minutes.
