    Another lens question.....

Ok, I have the D90 with the 18mm to 105mm len's(My wife really like's the camera!!!). I'm looking at getting another lens. Just what some opinions on which one to get. I shot general home photo's, my son's baseball game's, Cub scout events during the day and night (by camp fire's). I'm not a pro shooter just and guy that enjoys alot nice picture's. I was thinking the 70-200 lens with VR from nikon. Some suggestions would be nice.

I also getting the SB-600 flash also.
Any suggestions to get better picture around a camp fire?

Thank you for answering another one of my questions.

    "Normal" lens

The most versatile lens after the zoom that came with the camera is a "normal view" available light lens. It's what I use at night to mix with people (your camp fire). Go for the 35mm f1.8 DX. (BTW this new lens is now in stock in my local store)

The 70-200 f2.8 is very big and heavy. It would be useful for the baseball game but for the rest I think it's too clumsy to have with you.

The SB600 is useful for fill-in in sunlight and indoors (I use bounce flash off ceiling and walls a lot to give a natural effect). Around the camp fire it's going to kill the atmosphere.
