    SB-800 and SB-600 flash

I just purchased the SB-800 external flash for my Nikon D80 and I'm loving it. I had a quick question that I couldn't find the answer to in the manual. Can I use SB-600s with the SB-800 as the master flash in a wireless set up? All they talk about int he manual is using SB-800s together, but they don't rule out 600's. Thanks for any help!

the sb 600 works as a slave to my d200s built in master flash, so i would say yes.

    Re: SB-800 and SB-600 flash

I know you can use the sb800 as a commander to the sb600 - not sure how it is set up ... you can alsu use your d80 as a commander to your sb800 and sb600 - and set them in different groups so you can have different outputs from each ...

here is a thread that might be worth reading ...

you can do the 600's also wireless - you can do them on the same channel or a different one with a different output ...
