I have not run into a lock up where I need to remove the battery,
I do have highlights and histogram turned on, and noticed that if I hit play while the image is still being written to the memory card it will take a long time (5 secs ? ) to display the image and the camera will not respond to anything else

Seen it thanks. Never use instant display of the image on the LCD screen, never use the highlights display and I only use the histogram display when I'm checking exposure.
