Sounds to me that this camera is aimed at the person who wants more resolution than the D70s, but does not not have the funds for the D200. Or for the photog who has a D200 and needs a backup with the same resolution and control layout. I'm just speculating with the rest of you guys, but this couldn't have come at a better time, because I'm pretty sure I am getting a D70s sometime this year and this just means the price is going to come down more.
