    new toy for my D200

    I just bought a sigma 24-70 f2.8 macro lens. man I cant wait to use this beast. Does anyone know how to use my buttons on the camera to adjust the f stops? supposedly I have to move it to f32 then slide the switch on the lens but no go?

    You adjust the lens itself to f32 then slide the switch on the lens to lock it in place if it is like the Nikon lens. Once the camera knows what the smallest F stop is and you lock it in place on the lens the camera will make the adjustments as needed, Jeff

    Just like your 50mm 1.8 works. Set minimum aperture and lock it in.

    thanks for the help a EE code popped up so I took the lens off wiped the ring off real good and wammo everything is good. thanks For the help

    I think you need to set your lens and lock BEFORE you put it on you camera because if it is not set right you will get an error code every time you use it without setting the F stop and locking it in, Jeff
