Suggestion 4 external mic on D7000

I am looking for a external mike for my Nikon D7000. I want to be able to use it with a wide angle lens and not have it in the picture. I do not have or want a fish eye lens but do have the sigma 10-20mm zoom. I would appreciate and information, ideas, things to look for or avoid. Thanks for any information you might give me, Jeff

    Give us a clue

I guess that you've looked at the recently-announced ME-1 microphone designed specifically for the D7000 to remove autofocus motor noise, wind, etc. What's wrong with that?
