D2X, D2Hs, and D200 firmware updated

Nikon has released updated firmware for the D200 (last week), D2Hs, and D2x (today).

The D200 upgrade only adds two features stated outright, compatibility with the WT-3 wireless transmitter, and Image Authentication support.

The D2Hs and D2X upgrades add a number of features from the D2Xs. These are extremely extensive updates.

I updated my D2Hs and D200 without a hitch.

Downloads can be found on your regional distributor's website.

I am highly interested in purchasing the d2xs, but the price is too high, is there a place that I can get this camera below the $3000.00 price?

nowhere reputable. In fact, if you find it anywhere at this time "new" under $4000 (i'd call the going price at authorized dealers $4299 if memory serves) then it is highly likely that it is either an outright scam or a bait and switch operation.
