I checked out your photo gallery. I really like the blonde girl. You've used bounce flash - as in a lot of your pictures - and it's come out quite well. I think you could do a lot more in a studio or with some interesting available light. With bounce she's starting to get shadows in her eye socketsOriginally Posted by jordanjez193
There aren't a lot of sports or professional ceremony pictures in your gallery. I think that your main need is for extra speed of the D90. You're working in dark places. Next step with your rock bands is to do photos of them with just stage lighting on a f1.8 lens. You don't need the pro features of the D200 like weather-proofing if you don't take the camera out in the rain.
Reading down the thread there are a couple of things I would like to clarify:
- the 50mm f1.8AF autofocusses on the D90 and the D200 (some confusion in the wording)
- the D60 has much better high-ISO performance than the D200 even though it has almost the same sensor because - it has the image processor from the D90/D300. I was amazed the first time I tried 3200 ISO on it
- I haven't had the rubber grip come off any of my Nikons yet
