    Young Osprey has taken Flight!!!

Well finally after all these weeks the young osprey finally took off on 6-25-09 for the first time. Had to wait this one out for a few hours but it was obvious flight was about to happen.
Mama Osprey flew to a near by tower and called to her young. I could see the little guy pacing back and forth, squatting those legs like he wanted to jump.....then finally the big moment. I took so many photos while he was flying around my head, sometimes with in 30 feet.

    First leap off the nest......

Loving the freedom off flight...all those months in that nest!!

Man was he getting close to those power lines!!!!

Trying to land near me on the top of the parking garage...but changed his mind.....

A real close fly over right over m head...thought he was going to snatch my caamera!!

WOW... my heart start pumping very fast with this great series,
    Eric Im a Raptor lover

( Osprey Pandion haliaetus ) One of the largest birds of prey in North America, the Osprey eats almost exclusively fish. It is one of the most widespread birds in the world, found on all continents except Antarctica. " From http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/osprey/id " maybe somebody wants to know more about Osprey

    Best Regards

Eric, great images!! I think that if I was lucky enough to get this sequence and whatever other ones you may have, I would be making a large collage out of them in order taken and getting it printed (even I had to do it commercially) and having it framed an hung on my wall.

    Cheers,
