    You don't see this everyday!

    Actually, I've rarely seen a pheasant sitting in a tree. I know they do occasionally, but it's just not something seen that often.

    Before reading what you said, the first thing I noticed was 'that pheasant's in a tree'.
    Used to have lots of them where I grew up. If you want to have a heart attack at a young age, walk through a grassy field until one explodes from under your feet.
    Beautiful bird, nicely photographed.

    Nice capture. They certainly are a beautiful transplant success story. I use to live in a big pheasant area (no school on the first day of pheasant season) and just loved to watch them strut. I never saw one in a tree. - TF

    I've only come across a pheasant once and it too was in a tree.

    Now you have to find a mallard in a tree
