heres a few shots of some decent blacktail deer. i got these driving home after getting some super sick shots in hayden earlier in the morning (hopefully ill post them soon). i normally wouldn;t have stopped but the lighting was great on them.

Wonderful shots.
If had seen these in WY. I would have ID'd them as Mule Deer.
I need to look up a Blacktail.

Originally I had read that Muleys and Blacktails were the same. I guess DNA research now shows that Mule deer is a separate species that is decedent of both the blacktails and whitetails interbreeding.

i didn't know there was a difference between mulies adn black tails either... everything out here is back tail (plateau, drive, etc) so i assume they are actual blacktail deer. plus they have black tail tips.
