    Yellow-rumps

It was fairly cold this morning (by Houston standards anyway) and as a result I had some trouble dragging myself out of bed. I almost drove right past the park but at the last second I decided to pop in for a couple of minutes to see if I could find anything interesting. To my delight I noticed several Yellow-rumped Warblers working a pile of leaves near the parking lot and the clicking began. The light was good and the birds were plentiful and I ended up being a few minutes late to work!

All pictures were taken with my Canon Digital Rebel XTi and Sigma 500mm f/4.5 EX lens.

    Picture 1: ISO 200, f/7.1, 1/400 sec
    Picture 2: ISO 200, f/8, 1/500 sec
    Picture 3: ISO 200, f/7.1, 1/400 sec

all great shots, the last one is my favorite. Only thing that MIGHT improve any is a little more DoF in the third shot, to get both legs in focus. I love how the first warbler is pigeon toed :-)

They are all very nice and it's hard for me too to pick a favorite but I think I am going to pick the 3rd one. Great work

I too cant really chose a favourite as they are all so good, but #3 does reach out to me more, i can see where Sushigaijin is coming from re DOF, but i like the way you have emphasised the head in the focus area bringing the eyes and beak to the front.
