    Ya gotta love IS!

Went thru some photos I took today, most of them crappy, due to having a couple things set wrong, and concluded this was my best. I then looked at the exif and was surprised to see that it was shot handheld at 400mm and just 1/100 sec. I'm sure without IS, it would have been quite blurry. This was also at F8 and 640 ISO

    Re: Ya gotta love IS!

IS has really revolutionized this industry.

I think it won't be long before just about everything over 100mm (including macros) will have IS. Perhaps different grades (cheap IS and expensive IS ) but IS nontheless.

The Model T is now outfitted with automatic transmission (AF), power windows/doors (IS), and air bags (weather sealing)

IS rocks! Heck, I hand hold a 600mm with it regularly! Great shot. Very sharp.

    Re: Ya gotta love IS!

I once hand held a 600F4IS with a 2x on it at 1/250th on a 20D and that was very sharp still IS saves the day in nearly every case in my opinion, but isn't the savior in low light action shots .

Great image of a white breated nuthatch Mike!
