    wood duck

    while on an outing with my hubby, we saw a pair of wood ducks,, I hadn't EVER been able to get photographs of them before, this was the best I could do. They sure are a pretty bird!!!

    Nice find.

    Yes, wild wood ducks are extremely timid and very good at hiding among the brush - not to mention trying to get a good look at one out on the open water is nearly impossible. I've only come across a wood duck walking through the woods once.
