Wolf Spider?

The other day I was doing some work around my garage and I found this (larger than I'm used to seeing) spider in the middle of its web. I'm trying to figure out what it is. Looks like a Wolf Spider I think. Very common here in New England.

I'm pretty sure wolf spiders hunt by ambush and don't use webs. It's probably a variety of orb weaver.

for a second I thought it could be a garden spider, until I searched for the orb weaver.. looks very similar
