    Welcome!!

2 nice shot's, nice eye contact with the Egret. I would try and tone down the whites on the Egret (IMO). Whites birds are tough to expose!

    Look forward to more postings.....

I like them - would suggest not chopping off the feet (little egret) and, as Eric says, underexpose for detail on the white subject. One of the most distinguishing features of the little egret is its black legs and yellow feet - in this case you have missed the feet. (Anyway at least here in SA its feet are yellow).

Our bul-buls have yellow vents - otherwise almost the same!! Welcome and thanks for sharing.

    Re: Wildlife in the neighborhood

Welcome and hope to keep seeing more from you.
Brave to start right off with a critique and you'll get nothing but honest here.

I agree with the above critiques and will add that chopping the tail on the first one is a negative for me. Also wish there was more light on its face.

I don't know the S2-IS but perhaps if you had used center weighted metering both would have had better exposure.
    Nice start. Keep shooting.
    Keep Shooting!

    Hello Shankar,
    Welcome to the forum.
I checked out your blogs. You have some very nice photos in there. Do you work with WWF?

I will probably never get to travel to India, thank you posting the birds and wildlife on your travels.
I really enjoy looking at photos from around the world.
