    Wilden Birds I Photographed Today

Here are more birds from the Wilden Wetlands.

The first image is of a Buzzard...it is a Buzard and not a hawk, or anything else.

The second, fourth and fifth images are of Cormorants.

I am not sure about the third image - I think it's a Hawfinch.

Indeed! The European Buzzard is a hawk. I am not sure if the buzzards that reside in the States, and in other places, the big ugly birds that eat cattle and the like, are hawks, though.

Ah! I see! Now it makes sense. Thanks for the info. I am pretty new to photography and having to identify birds: I've been at it for 10 months now - it's very interesting, though. What I find most interesting, is just how much nature there is within a mile radius of my home and it is my camera that has shown me this!

I became a birder because of my camera and have seen 402 species in the US No time to use my camera anymore sadly, but working outside for a living keeps me in nature 50+ hrs a week.

You can't beat working outside with nature, as long as you have good waterproofs, Gortex lined boots and a few bits of wool. I am a big fan of Ventile trousers and jackets.
