Wild Safari

I sure many of the photographers here have got some great Safari photos, even if they are backyard Safari's. Please post some animal "adventure" photos.

This is one of the few photo's I have from our trip to South Africa and Botswana this past Christmas. I am still shooting film and the scanner we have leaves a good bit to be desired. So please excuse the lower quality. I am just very excited about posting and wanted to go ahead and get a photo online. Hopefully I can make the jump to digital soon, or at least upgrade the scanner.

I need to revise this statement. I was trying to say that this is one fo the few photo's from our trip that I have scanned in thus far. I think we ended up taking about 14 rolls of film. I will work on posting a few more in the coming days.

Great!!! I think this is our first elephant in the wild on the N&W forum. You know I'd be glad to work with you on a digital purchase. You need to have that in place by November. This little guy is great I know your original is of higher quality, where did you scan it?

PS: Bring some of the better prints and neg with you this weekend. We'll try them on the RX620.

A baby elephant in the wild is a photo to be proud of having in your collection!

There's obviously much more quality to this and can be rescanned (the neg preferrably).

The parents tusks watching over the little one makes this particularly well composed and the 'gnarly' nature of the large trunk is good contrast to the little one.

There are many more photos lurking actually. I took about 5 rolls of just Elephants on our trip. We were fortunate enough to get to go on a game drive with an elephant researcher and got a very up-close-and-personal visit with somewhere in the neighborhood of 90 elephants. I will see if I can get to a better scanner and post a few more. Hopefully sometime this weekend.
