Wild Horses at Mesa Verde

This herd was trying to keep cool in the shade of scrub pine forest next to the road. It appeared to be three mares, one stallion, and one colt.

4 Big brown mare. I'm surprised they were such a good size. This one was large and stocky.

6 Seriously, I wanted to rope him and take him home with me Beautiful looking colt.


7 I never saw "equipment" but from size and build I'd say this was the stallion.

12 Botched the focus on the vegetation in front instead of the horses, but I sort of like the result.
