    White Ibis'

A few of the first pictures from my new camera. Any thoughts?

These birds really have a lot of personality. You did a good job on the exposure, many people have problems with white birds but I can’t find any problems here. The compositions here are nice but might be better if there weren’t so many branches in the background. I understand that this is next to impossible to control but that is one of the things that makes this type of photography so challenging. I like 2 and 3 better because I can see more detail in the bird but that probably has more to do with the small viewing size than anything. The water in these pictures looks really nice and I think it really enhances the pictures.

    What’s your new camera??

    Thanks!

Well my new camera is just new to me

It's a Canon D60, which for me is a big step up from my D30.

I agree with everything Greg has said. Besides kindly asking it to move to a pretty clean BG , you did a fantastic job. Usually a lower shooting angle helps, but I can't say it would have been possible here?
