    Whiskered Screech Owl

The night birding is amazing in southern Arizona. So many nocturnal critters roaming around. The only problem was that meant that I hardly slept for the week I was there

    Glenn,

I'm not nocturnal, which is a limitation on my photography at home. You hit the jackpot with this lovely owl.

If I tried wrecking my normal sleep, it would be raccoons and possums that likely turn up. They are not worth loss of sleep in my opinion. Deer are around, but unlikely to cooperate with photography. For any owl I would consider taking your approach.

Otherwise I do much better with wildlife on many trips far from home.

    Dave
