What do you do when a big black bee flies into your house?!

Ha! My wife wouldn't allow me the time. She'd be freaking out while I calmly get a container, capture the frightened thing, and let it go back to the outside world where it could do what it does.

Those are some real close-ups. What kind of bee is it?

I think it was some sort of carpenter bee. It was at least a half inch in length. I had to crop in pretty tight, the bee only took roughly 1/8th of my frame.

very nice close ups, my wife would be locked in another room screaming until I got rid of it. Stopping to get my camera out would mean P&J sandwiches for a week.....
