Lot's of species of hummers in town, right now. I'll try and get a cross section. Until then, here's a Broadbill. I got a couple fairly good ones of him, this morning.
Here's a quick post…they're still repairing the power from the storm. When all the trucks fire up, it curtails a lot of the photo opportunities for the birds. (I'll be switching to 'macro mode', soon)
Broadbill Hummingbird Cyanthus latirostris
His feathers are slicked down and darkened, due to the fact that it had just finished raining, the last of a few monsoon storms.
