    Waste land?

I went out today to do some lens experimentation & practice. While I was there I found this yellow goatsbeard puffball that hadn't been found by the wind yet. The guide said they are often found in waste land areas. Looks like a waste land huh?

I looked to see if there were any that hadn't bloomed yet and found one. Hopefully I can catch it when it does.

ice camera angle on this shot and I would call that a typical regrowth area from deforestation minus the scrub brush.
