    Washington Oaks State Park FL

We had a short visit on an otherwise dreary day, but this place is outstanding. Many trails - paths, multiple water features and one of my favorites, BIG TREES.
Here is a beautiful oak AND an unknown.
Does anyone recognize the close up. It was a small grove about 12-15 feet tall and the mature fruits on the ground had a soft mushy outer and a hard nutlike center about the size of a pecan.

Plant a tree, help it grow. Children need something to climb.
