Viera Limpkin Nest

Limpkins are now nesting in the Viera Wetlands.

This nest is just left of the nesting Great Blue Herons about 30' from the shore. It's in the wide open with no protection from predators, so it may not survive. I can see at least two eggs in the nest.

You bet.........Alligators, Snakes, Otter, Raccoon, Caracara and many more that would love to eat eggs or chicks.
