    More from the pond

These are from yesterday, and today.

This guy was enjoying his breakfast.

This one was struggling in the muck.

    Some dragonflies

    Another turtle.

A Cedar Waxwing. I think these birds are so cool looking.

Not sure what this is, but will post in the Bird ID thread as well.

    This buds for you.

This wasn't taken at the pond, but I like the colors, so I'm throwing it in here anyway.

It's a big fish of some kind... Might be a sucker but I couldn't tell for sure. I have another image or two that show the fish better. I can post them when I get home.

Nice job Michael. I agree that Waxwing is a beautiful bird. Don't believe I have every seen one in the wild. Thanks for posting.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

Lovely series. Personal fave would be the waxwing, and the yellow bud.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to look and comment.

Here are a couple more shots of the snapper and it's breakfast. Can anyone tell what kind of fish that is? It's been over 20 years since I went fishing in this pond and I don't remember what we would catch, other than chubs and maybe some small panfish and bullheads.

That appears to be a bottom feeder other than bullhead(catfish). My guess is chub/ grass carp

Doesn't quite look like grass carp to me. I have those in my backyard (no good pics yet) and the scales are larger.

I like this habitat-type postings. Thanks for sharing.
