    9 All the brown shades are dead and dying trees. The amount of devastation the pine beetle has done is stunning.

    13,000 feet in Colorado (Rocky Mountain NP). Trail Ridge Road connects the east and west sides of the park.

    Not only was there snow still on the ground, but there had been snowfall (light though) along the road a few days before near the top elevations.
