About a week and a half ago we started seeing the return of the cedar waxwings. They are one of my favorite subjects - sleek, fast, gregarious, and entertaining to watch as they pass berries down the line.
But they are tough to shoot. From out of nowhere, they swoop down as a group and then take off on a whim. I've been trying to get a "keeper" shot since then and I have until this weekend to accomplish it (my self-imposed deadline for this project).
Always a shadow, branch, leaf, or something in the way, or up too high, or looking in the wrong direction...
