    These overexposed?

    I am recently into photography. Can you tell me if these pics are over exposed? Feel free to edit them if you'd like.

    The only pp i have done is use auto correct in Microsoft Office picture manager.

    They're overexposed... the snow is blown out. These shots can be tricky with the dark ground and the snow, if you get one exposed properly, the other tends to be over/under exposed.

    So it's kind of a no win situation? Just depends on what you want to look better?

    I wouldn't say that. There are ways and there are tricks. But it's definitely harder to shoot, and it's one of the things I have the most trouble with.

    I tend to try the middle... where neither is perfectly exposed but neither is at the extremity of horribly under or over. Then I do some editing in lightroom to even things out.

    People who are good at post processing can do cool things like take two shots, one with lighter areas exposed properly, one with the darker, and then merge the two.

    When you can't get the exposure you can use neutral density filters.
