    Tenderize Your Meat

    Not a very good shot (mega crop and face obscured) but a fun one.

    Trying to get a warbler, kingbird, or flycatcher with an insect still in its mouth is tough. But when they catch large prey, they beat it to death before eating it so there's a slight chance to get a shot off.

    Watching them dealing with a long caterpillar is very entertaining. This flycatcher with a hornet (wings still moving) was a lucky shot.

    Thanks for looking, Amber and Sparkie.

    That is interesting. I'll have to look at the subsequent frames to see if it ate it head first and if the stinger was pulled out.
