    Maybe you could epoxy a quick release plate to your cast?

    LOL! At least a U-shaped retainer strapped on

    I've already shot some macros "over the forearm" and some birds by holding the 300mm with my thumb and middle finger.


    But no AF - I can still swing it by pivoting my shoulder

    Get better man and enjoy the rest. I slipped on ice and protected my camera in the process. Photographer's instinct?
