    Supersize Me! Great Blue Heron

    This is another from Sunday morning. This fellow was in the same area as those Spoonbills I posted yesterday. He was actually being kind of a pain in the arse, as he kept chasing the Spoonbills off when they would get close to me. It was almost as if he was trying to protect me from them. He stayed close to me all morning.

    Anyway, this is an uncropped image from the 1DsMII with the 600mm f/4. It's pretty tough to frame a bird this big at fairly close distances, but I managed to squeeze him in to a few shots :thumbsup: You'll notice the transitional colors between the shallow and deeper water....That was the background in those Spoonbill shots.
