    Sunrise Sentinal

Taken this morning during a chilly sunrise. I like the sun through my Panasonics 12x zoom.

    Nice sunrise shot Chunk.

What is the 35mm equivalent on that 12X zoom?

    I'm guessing it's in the 400mm range...

36 - 436 mm. The actual focal length is something like 6-72 mm.
I'm glad you can see it, it's not showing up here. Does anyone else have problems seeing it?

Chunk, I can see yours but I'm having problems with other posts. Thought it was my computer but obviously not. Must be the server.

Oh, great shot by the way.

I couldn't see it the first time I opened it.

It's a problem with the PR computer.

We had this a month or two back.

No filters. I was shooting in manual and under exposing to hold the color. Then my normal levels and curves in PS.

Thanks Paul. I took this as part of the Photo Project for March: Your Town. Here's what I wrote about it on the Project Forum. Here are a couple daytime views of the malthouse.

Here's this morning's sunrise over the malthouse just north of town (Jefferson, Wisconsin). Built and operated for many years by the Ladish Malting Company, it supplied the Milwaukee breweries with much of their malted barley. It was recently purchased and then closed down by the Cargill Co. putting people out of work. Now some people want to buy it and produce ethanol and aquaculture fish there.
