    sunbathing beauties

    my wife and I went out on the river today to see what we could "catch". We had a pretty good day, no wallhangers, but is sure is fun trying!!:thumbsup: Please feel free to edit my photos and also any CC would be appreciated. Thanks for looking.

    Thanks, all of them wee shot from a boat. The hawk just sat there and let me shoot away! Because the weather is cold here the gators were everywhere sunning themselves!

    These are all nice images! On that stork you need to leave more room at the bottom for foot room. The red-shouldered is great and that eagle has a great wing position.

    We followed the eagle for quite a while until it finally landed. I was a bit too far away and didnt pose very long. They are just such a beautiful bird to watch. In the past we have observed the eagles "hunting". They sit and wait for osprey to catch a fish, then they will gang up on him until he drops it! It s really something to see.:thumbsup:

    Great Shots! what a successful day you had, they are all super and to get the chance to photograph wild crocs is something else! but i love the #4 &#5, but i am biase!!

    Can i ask what settings you used for the last image?

    Bevb, the shot of the eagle was from quite a distance. We were watching him for a while, kind of following him, waiting for him to land. He finally landed but only for enough time for a few shots.
    My settings were:
    1/500
    ISO 100
    F 5.6
