    Sun Drenched

Another spectacular day! Bright sun, clear skies, slight wind, and comfortable temperatures had effectively cancelled everything that I should have been doing today

Also came across a large barred owl and a summer tanager posted in other threads.

Wanted to convey the sun's warmth with these. If anyone could please ID the snake for me - it had the coolest markings on its neck/back.

great shots, loupey. I certainly envy your day in the sun!

Your snake is an eastern milksnake, lampropeltis triangulum. They are indeed very beautiful snakes!
