Caught this guy taking a break yesterday . He is sitting on some High voltage wires, 200,000 volts to be exact. He is about 200 feet up and i took this from a over pass with a 70-300mm and a 1.4x and still i had to heavely crop this one .

( The hiker's creed. )
Take only pictures, Leave only footprints, Kill only time.
Three different sizes/species of shorebirds all feeding quietly side-by-side (shown here smallest to largest).
The largest one is a Greater Yellowleg? I was told that one of the other two is a great migrator and is currently here for a short time while flying between the Arctic and South America?
The second and third are yellowlegs and to be honest, I cant tell the difference between lesser anf greater ;) I would say by size leeser 2nd and greater third.
The first is tough because shorebirds are my weakness, but.....I am going with semipalmated .and that's my final answer

Sure is an ovenbird. They (neotropical warblers) are migrating right now. I found a ovenbird that hit a building a few days ago. They are nocturnal migraints and tend to hit buildings with no lighting.
Very nice images and damb you got close

multiple species, here, in triple digit numbers, (number estimate based on amount of nectar/sugar water consumed daily, considering the average volume of fluid consumed by a single hummingbird). We were sitting watching them when my s.o. MaryEllen remarked, accurately, "there are so many it looks like a swarm of big bees".
I'll try to get some others posted (of the different species)
Hummingbirds are a bit more cryptic (for some species) in their respective markings, as well as hybridizing amongst different species.
