    Streamside Snack

While sitting for hours on the bank waiting for the kingfishers, I've had large numbers of yellow-rumped warblers surround me at times.

I generally ignore them (yellow-rumps) as they are the most common warblers we have. But this one was brave, close, and hungry

Looks like you've got a different kind of yellow-rumped then we have here. Then again, I don't know much about yellow birds as I have yet to have a remotely decent shot of any of them.

    Good capture!

They're a beautiful bird, common or not. Lovely shot.

Thank you for looking, SARtech, AgingEyes, mn shutterbug, and CaraRose.

Paul - we've had a fantastic migration here in central Ohio over the past 7~10 days. I figured it was about time to head to Magee Marsh so I took my son yesterday. I was disappointed - I saw more species in my backyard than I did up there

Watch your weather. A tail wind after a storm will bring alot of MIGRATORY FLOCKS to Magee. Song birds are nocturnal movers and will set down to feed at magee then move further the next night(if they want to and conditions are right)
