Stilts, Kites, and Shrikes...

A few from this morning. Went down to the mud bog where the Black-Necked Stilts are nesting to see if I could get some images of the chicks. No luck with that part of the trip, but still plenty of nice images. Enjoy.

My nemesis - The Swallow-Tailed Kite. This is my version of Loupey's Cedar Waxwing bird. I never can quite nail a shot of these guys. These two are just "OK" to me. I've never gotten one I really like. But, I keep trying :mad2: That last one's almost like he's mocking me as he flies by:

Great series Bob were you using a tripod or are these handheld using your 600mm . I like it when you leave your exif intact it saves me allot of figuring out lol.

That's a cool loggerhead shrike image, too bad about it not being in complete focus in even light.
