That's interesting. I'm only a few miles from you and my daffies have been in full bloom for a week.

Of course, they do get good east/south exposure.

I haven't given up yet. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday were chilly and rainy - no action. (Since this is already a candidate for most boring post of 2009, I skipped those days.) Today (Wednesday) in the 50s with sun and it opened a little. – TF

Finally I have my first flower of spring! It must have been a 'micro-weather' in our area or something. Daffys within three miles have been out for weeks, but none near us. Here is today's action...

Thanks for bringing us to attend the "birth" of this flower. Excellent fire shots in the open flower. The buds, very deep, are more difficult but recovered well.
Background in some photos too sharp, perhaps better to make it more blurry perhaps opening goal

Thanks and a good idea, but the last one was taken in my light box in the basement (in front of black velvet). I have it in a vase, but it won't be a 'natural demise'. – TF
