    Spotted Towhee ?

    I didn't see this bird, I heard it among the leaf litter after a truck scared off the hawk I was going to photograph. Strange feeding behaviour, scratches in the leaves kicking them out behind, seemed to be looking for insects? I spotted it by the flying leaves !
