Spotted Sandpiper

This guy's been hanging in the same area the last few weeks.

The golden yellow reflection in the water...is that from trees around or the sun?

The sun. I'd stopped at the preserve after work, so it was getting towards dusk. The river is running west to east in this stretch, and gets some really nice, soft light around the evening. I keep thinking I should remember to bring my tripod and get some landscapes around the dam.
