    Sparrows again

Getting a little better at them. Saw some more of the house finches way up in the neighbors tree, but they were never within my range.

    Re: Sparrows again

I like the last one, B&W. The branch has a nice curve to it, and there are nice patterns all over. Possibly would have been an even better shot if the sparrow had a different head angle---more prominent (i.e. slightly more sideways) so the bill is more visible.

The other ones, sorry, but I think they are very soft and / or out of focus. What lens are you using? With 70-300mm zooms or similar ones I wouldn't recommend cropping much at all as quality will be not too good.

Maybe if you can find a used (or old) prime lens it will give better results. Some are quite inexpensive.

I was using my canon 55-250mm IS lens (usually at 250mm), aperture wide open, I think 800 ISO for most of these, with varying shutter speeds.
