Space Shuttle Bird

Not sure which forum fits these, but it does resemble a large bird


First attempt to photograph the Space Shuttle from up close today. Photo's taken standing to the side of the VAB bldg. What a rush to be so close. Had a little to learn with the exposure due to the intense flames. Got 4 or 5 more launches to get it down packed! ;)

I like it. But for some reason the shuttle seems a little out of focus? That may be just from the rumble of the earth when you are that close!

Do you have any advice on how to get close for a launch? I have tried but could never find a decent spot. I guess if you get in the area early in the morning and hang out all day but I'm not sure.

My first launch... I drove right into the gates of Nasa bypassing all traffic and drove up near the VAB bldg.. Unless you take the tour from the Visitor center the only other way in that close is with a I.D. Badge or a serious connection.

This thread is better suited for "viewfinder" , but no way am I moving it! Amazing shots Eric and I see a turkey vulture in there too

Have you posted these in viewfinder(too busy to look outside N/W these days)
