    Something a little different

For me anyway. We had thunderstorms and generally bad weather yesterday so I decided to give the birds a break and headed over to the Houston Museum of Natural Science to check out their butterfly exhibit. It was rather dark inside but there were lots of butterflies to view and attempt to photograph. I took these photos with my Rebel XT and EF-s 60mm f/2.8 macro USM. These were all at ISO 1600 and in B&W mode without flash. Shutter speeds ranged from 1/15 sec to as much as 1/60 sec.

    I hope you like them,

    Greg

    Interesting...

I can't say I've ever seen b&w butterfly shots, at least ones that weren't in a text book or field guide...

Kind of a fresh, more abstract approach...

I concur with steve on the B&W, but think you have pulled it off quite nicely. Wildlife imagery to me demands color for the most part, but there is always exceptions to EVERY rule ;)
