Some odds and ends from this past weekend:

Just some random stuff from the weekend. I won't bore you with the Bald Eagles and heron Rookery stuff that I've been shooting heavily lately, but here are some of the "opportunity" shots:

    Brown Pelican with reflections:

Ring-Billed Gull says: "Hey, that pelican reflection stuff is kinda cool!"

Burrowing Owl says: "What's that gull looking at?"

Piping Plover says: "Geez...you'd think none of you had ever seen a Brown Pelican before! I'm outta here!"

Wow Bob, I absolutely love the second one the Brown Pelican! The symmetry is what really does it for me.

    I love those! Very nice.
How do you add the comments/descriptions inbetween the photos? I'll take a guess and say that you copy and past the photo's addy from this site inbetween the comments while typing up your post?

Had to make a correction. I think the Plover is a Piping Plover....Not a Wilson's. Paul? Verification please?

Upload the photo first to a separate website (e.g. photobucket, imageshack, flickr, photographyreview gallery), then copy and paste the URL into [IMG][/IMG] in your post. Then optionally write text above or below.

Also, which I recently discovered, if you attach photos by uploading files to a post, place your mouse cursor on the file link and memorize the attachment ID number. Then type it into [attach][/attach] code.

See here for more info on "codes". http://forums.photographyreview.com/misc.php?do=bbcode

LOL - OH.....THAT one! I knew that contest as the WPOTY competition. Yes, I'll be entering that one this year. I always wait until the last minute though. Sadly, I can't enter my White Morph.....But I have plenty of others that may make a run. that is definitely THE wildlife photography competition. The only other one like it is the Nature's Best competition.

FYI all - I got a positive ID on that Plover. It is indeed a Piping Plover. That's a new species for me, and another notch in my "Endangered Species" handle! They are hard to ID in their Winter Plumage because they look so much like Semipalmated Plovers.
