    Some common birds

    What does it need the stick for?

    A waxwing with a long neck. Guess he just found out a guy with a camera is watching.

    No other birds can be be more common than this one, don't you think?

    I am torn between crow and raven on the last. Beak says raven, but I can't pin it either way.

    Sweet images! I would just about kill someone to get a good shot like yours of those Tree Swallows (?) Ok... I'm exagerating... a little.

    Crows aren't common around me anymore Talk about a bird I never thought I'd miss. They used to wake me up every morning with a horde of them cawing on the tree out front. I've seen them in a few other areas in the city now, but west nile did a number on what had been a thriving population.

    Very good shots as usual, and I love the swallow ones. Also the sandpiper is beautiful.

    I didn't know crows could no longer be common in certain places. If they disappear, I don't know if I'd miss them because, just last year or so, they messed up many lawns in my area. I know, I know, they were just foraging.
